GOOD VIBRATIONS

We had a great time exploring with different ways to make sound vibrations travel.

What a week!!!

We have had quite a few days!   Friday we traveled to Madison and visited the Capitol and WI historical museum.  The students were awesome!!!  We caught the last 2 minutes of the Norski State football game and screamed with excitement when they WON!!!!

On Tuesday we celebrated our 1000 Marble Reward and we had a blast!  We also got to watch Little House on the Prairie to make a connection to our historical unit in Social Studies.

Field trip is on FRIDAY

We have a field trip on Friday.  We get to visit the state capitol and the Wisconsin Historical museum.
It will be a fun and educational day!

We have been hard at work!

Students have been working on our new units in writing and reading.  We are focusing on opinion narratives and Non-fiction reading. 
Than you to all that have come to conferences.  We were able to meet with everyone and look forward to a great year!

This past week I was honored to be a guest at one of my twins' Basic Training Graduation in Texas.  I always struggle being away from the class for too long, but it sounds like they did a great job without me!

We were able to head off the rain!!!!  We had a great morning cheering on third grade and running our laps.

Welcome to 4th Grade!!

We had a great first couple of days.  We have gone over the procedures and our schedules.  We started doing math, writing and reading.  We have worked on PBIS and community building.  We have a great class...and I look forward to a great year!

5th Grade News

Fourth Grade Families,

The last month of the school year is an exciting time for everyone

as we plan end of the year activities and begin looking ahead to next year.  

Our 4th Grade Parent Orientation Night will be on Thursday, May 9th

from 6:00 to 7:00 pm in the 5/6 gym at the Middle School. The information

will be directed toward adults, as the 4th grade students will have

already participated in a shadowing experience at the middle school.

Also, families who have already had a student make the 4th to 5th

grade transition do not need to attend unless they would like a refresher.

At the May 9th family orientation, we will briefly cover the following topics:

5th Grade programming and activities

• DAMS structures and culture
• Student Services
• How to get questions answered if/when families need help
• Q & A with current 5th grade students

Forward Testing has begun

We kicked off testing today!!!  The kids did a great job!!!! I could not ask for a better first day! Thank you to all who have signed up for our extra testing snacks. :)

Valentine's Day!

WOW.... 4th grade is GREAT!

As a fourth grade class we rocked the IReady Winter Reading test....so we celebrated with a FRIDAY indoor recess!

1000 Marbles...AGAIN!!!!

WAHOOOOOOO!  We did it again.  The class earned 1000 marbles for great behaviors!!!
